This restaurant was awesome and so were all the waiters and waitresses. We came twice within 3 days! Cafe de olla was delish and the drinks from bar were also good. The foods we all ordered we were all happy with how hot and fresh it was. Our appetizer was queso fundido one with mushrooms the other with chorizo. Top meals my family liked was the hamburger, steak and camarones al mojo de ajo were top notch. Flour tortillas and blue form b tortillas were also very good. Next day we had buffett /brunch many foods and pastries to select from, even meals for the kiddies to enjoy. To top off our family time the seating of the outdoors made it extra nice. We went when weather was perfect. Scenic views are relaxing and beautiful.
You can tell the hotel is fairly new and some of the staff is just learning how everything works but they sure make an effort to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The view is amazing, unfortunately we were there on a rainy day. The beds are super comfortable. We were there for New Year’s and the dinner was amazing. Great price and huge portions, maybe too big. I felt so bad I couldn’t finish most of my food (I’m a small person) and obviously couldn’t ask for takeout. Tadeo (Sorry if I got his name wrong) our waiter went above and beyond to make sure we were having a lovely time. The only two inconveniences we had were that the hot tub wasn’t working yet and the restaurants didn’t have high chairs for our baby, I’m guessing because of the hotel being so new.
Rincón de Santiago is a nice hotel with Gorgeous views. The villa rooms are nice and have balconies with views of La Boca Water reservoir and the surrounding. The SPA Los Arruyos, which is part of the hotel was definitely a highlight of our stay. The property is lacking some maintenance in some areas, and will benefit from working on fixing details that are in bad or regular shape. Although the hotel is somewhat secluded, there’s a lot of noice from the boats and even form the highway, once you close the windows you can hear the noise but the loud music coming from the boats and the harbor. It was a busy weekend but, nevertheless, service was slow and the pools were not the cleanest.
